School board votes to keep AYS services
The Noblesville School Board voted unanimously Tuesday night to deny a recommendation by school district administrators to award a contract for before school and after school child care to the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis. In a separate vote, the board agreed to continue offering the child care services through AYS. The votes followed impassioned pleas from a number of parents to keep the AYS service in place.
Four schools receive Four Star School award
Hazel Dell Elementary School, Hinkle Creek Elementary School, Noblesville East Middle School, and Noblesville High School have been named Four Star Schools by the Indiana Department of Education.

New student registration for the 2013-14 school year for all grade levels is now open during regular office hours. Parents of current students are to update demographics and confirm enrollment via the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Elementary school staffs to compete in volleyball tournament
Noblesville’s elementary schools are serving up a new tradition – a staff volleyball tournament to benefit charities. The first event will take place from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, in the gym at Noblesville East Middle School, 300 N. 17th Street.
